Think good thoughts for her

Remember the girl I went to see in jail a few months ago?

She did 3 months in jail and then they sent her to treatment with a year on the shelf. I've been trying to get in to see her, but I have to be on her "list". Fucking rules of institution.

I just got a text from her Mom.

I feel terrible for her. That dope is a mother fucker. Calling her name.

Whenever she's picked up, she'll have a year do to in Marysville (OH prison for women). If she doesn't OD first.

I have no idea what is going through your head or hers, but you've gotta be proud that you did what you could for that girl.

Let's just hope that she makes the same decisions that you did.

You did what you could Judi, hopefully she'll remember what you offered to her, drugs man, nasty shit...

Sending prayers to her and her mom...and you.

It is very cool that you did what you could. Maybe your visits and ability to stay clean will be the catalyst that helps her change her ways and fight her addiction. Honestly it sounds like a year in jail may be the best thing for her. At least then she is alive. I wish my nephew would spend a year behind bars drying out. As it stands now he is on drugs/drunk and living off my wife's parents.

Hope everything works out.

Keeping her and her mom in my thoughts. It's cool you tried to reach her and help her out. I hope she manages to find a way to help herself or finally lets someone help her.

and I hate to say it, but a year in jail just might be exactly what she needs.

...you can only try to help others & you definitely tried...you even transcended your initial trepidation...

..as you well know, if someone doesn't want to help themselves, nothing will make them accept the truth you have to offer...

...reality checks only work for people who want to face reality & thus it sounds like it's gonna have to get worse before it gets better...

...good luck to that young woman & you need luck when you don't have common sense...

You know better than anyone, you gotta want it...whatever it is, sobriety, whatever your goals are at the time, YOU got to want it. I hate that for her mom.
